Happy New Year! I hope you are all off to a great start for 2009. We have had some good and some bad to start us off . On a very sad note we lost a very dear friend named Marty over the holidays. He was an unbelievably fun loving guy that I went to school with. I can honestly say he was the happiest person I knew. He never had a complaint and always had an ear to ear grin and a laugh that was contagious. Jessie and I took a little road trip to Tucson for the service which was quite the trip. We learned the hard way that GPS is no match for common sense. We laughed a lot though and shared a gazillion memories of our friend, it was a much needed trip! Jessie and I came to the realization that we need to be more spontaneous and live life a little more like Marty did, his life motto was live everyday like it might be your last. So with that all said, anyone want to go on a trip??
On a good note Ella is doing great! She has all sorts of new tricks; sit, rollover, you know all the ones Avery has taught her. She is pretty funny in the fact that she rolls from her back to her belly (I guess it usually happens the other way first) and then gets mad because she doesn't like being on her belly. She has been eating lots of veggies, peas, carrots, squash, sweet potatoes, and avocado. So far she loves them all except avocado. We took her swimming for the first time yesterday, she loved it. We even dunked her twice, we want her to like the water and not be afraid of it like her mom. So far so good!
As for the New Year we rung it in with the Block's (many of them) in Salida. Ella got to meet her aunt Sharon, uncle Jimmy, cousins Val and Garrett, uncle Tommy and many of the Block's good friends. She also got to meet Blair my good friend who has been busy in med school. Well, I will post a few pics and write more later. Bye for now!
