After all of that here's the story:  If we are not out of the house by 9 am, my children eat me alive.  Colby is insanely crabby when in the house.  So we stayed busy-crazy busy.  It was one of the most beautiful wildflower seasons I have ever seen.  There were entire hill sides that were yellow or purple.  I am looking forward to the next summer like this!

Ella....... well she is 5 and
amazing.  I sure wish she would stop growing, she is kind of perfect right now.  She is incredibly smart, kind, social, and VERY fun!  She starts Kindergarten in a month and she is ECSTATIC- we have been doing mock Kindergarten trials daily. She still likes her naps, so not sure how she is going to do in full day Kindergarten with out a nap.  She has been swimming like crazy this summer, since I am not a good swimmer this is very important to me.  She chose to take swim lessons over gymnastics.  Fine by me :) She also is a great little hiker (sometimes even runs the trails).  Academically-she loves to learn just about anything.  But the most important thing I can say about Ella right now..... she is a wonderful sister.  She loves her little "bear bear" so much it brings me to tears some times.  I know this might not last forever so I will enjoy it while I can.

Colby...... Basketball.  One word that sums up what that kid likes.  Its hilarious.  He goes nuts when he sees a hoop or a basketball.  Being that neither Bobby or I are "ball sport" people, it is pretty funny.  Colby is one happy little guy (as long as we are on the go).  He is very good at going with the flow of whatever is going on.  He hangs out in the backpack when we hike like a champ-still takes an occasional snooze in it as well.  He loves the water- is insane at jumping in and has absolutely no fear.  He loves to run and it is terrifying since he is not the best listener.  Bear Bear loves his dog Avery more than you could imagine.  He just chills with her at least once a day.  He would much rather throw the ball for her than ride his strider.  As for Colby's talking-we are finally getting there (late bloomer with his words maybe because he was learning to scale the walls and jump off of everything?).  His first word was very clear and not surprising "Ella."   This summer he is picking up most words but my favorite is what he calls himself- "BOBO."  He gave himself that nickname.

Bobby and I............... fabulous, even after two kids we are strong as ever.  We love to spend time with the family and aren't really big into needing our own time.  Thanks to Blair-we got away for a night and went to Redstone and got to see the famous Crystal Mill.  A true piece of Colorado history.

Andy........ just moved to Ouray and took an underground mining job.  We are glad to have him a little closer and hope he loves his new job!

Avery........ Who? Just joking, but poor Avery does get left out these days.  However she is enjoying or family hikes and days at the lake.

Well here are a few pics to show what this summer has brought this little Block clan.  Thanks for reading and keep in touch! They are in no particular order.

 GREEN LAKE!!!
